Dassia is one of the first and most privileged tourist areas in Corfu. We are situated on the side of a hill with panoramic views of the sea, Gouvia marina, and nearby hills. Dassia, which means forest in Greek, is one of the first tourist areas of the island, and has been accepting tourists since the 1950ies. Today it is home to many hotels and villas, including some of the biggest and most prestigious hotels of the island. Many shops, restaurants, cafes and mini-markets cater to your needs. Dassia beach is quiet and accessible on foot, a few hundred meters away. Corfu town is near, at 12 km, a 25 minute ride by bus, or 20 minutes by car. Being centrally placed on the island, it is ideally located for you to start your daily explorations.
